v1.27 fixes a bug with the logon button.
It also adds the capability to change the
font size in the directory list window.
Users upgrading from a previous version
must replace the path.txt file with the
one in the v1.27 zip.
v1.26 adds command mode capabilities
and fixes a few bugs. The format for
path.txt and host.txt are unchanged.
If you are upgrading from v1.25, copy
sftp.exe and sftp2.exe from the zip
to your sftp directory. See WHATSNEW
for explanation of command mode.
Please note, for persons who are
upgrading to SFTP v1.24, the path.txt
file must be copied to your sftp directory.
Older versions of path.txt will not allow
sftp to be displayed on your monitor. Also,
sftp now requires two extra files to run
properly. They are sftp2.exe (note the 2)
and go.exe. Go.exe is a cardware process killer
function by Carsten Wimmer. Please follow
the directions in the go_15.zip file to
register for go. SFTP now uses
Go.exe to kill download processes.
With v1.24, sftp introduces Cruise Mode for
muli-process file transfers. For more information
on Cruise Mode, read the file CRUISE.MOD.
For persons upgrading from SFTP v1.09 or
below, SFTP now requires the FILEREXX.DLL included
in the sftp zip. Be sure to copy both
rxftp.dll and filerexx.dll to a directory
in your DLL path.
Thanks to Jeff Glatt, author of
FILEREXX, the SFTP progress indicator,
in version 1.10 and beyond, now works
on FAT partitions.
Also, version 1.11 and beyond now support hosts aliases
and require a new format for the hosts.txt file.
Old host.txt file must be converted
to the new format. If you are upgrading from v1.10
or below, convert you host.txt file by doing the
following: place a copy of your hosts.txt file and the
convert.cmd file that comes with sftp in the same directory.
Open an os2 command window and switch to the directory
with these two files. At the command prompt type: convert
and press enter. The program will prompt you for host
aliases for each of your hosts. Copy your converted
hosts.txt file back to your sftp directory.
